Community Announcement
Happy 4th Anniversary Yogi Institute!
As we celebrate the 4 Year Anniversary of Yogi Institute being founded and located in Texas, I feel a sense of celebration but also of sadness. It is with a heavy heart that I share I am having to relocate outside of the US. I am unable to extend/renew my current work permit terming early December. I must embrace a new chapter outside of the United States.
This decission has not come easily or by choice, it has required research into all possible paths, legal advice from multiple immigration attorney's and finally deep, difficult surrender.
LOOKING BACK & REFLECTIONS:
I reflect back on the local yoga community that has been created over my last 6 years in Granbury. Being with Flow since before opening day starting the community, seeing the studio close and re-open through COVID after being open for only 5 months, watching the community come together in a time of such uncertainty and support eachothers health and wellbeing.
I reflect on the 1000’s of students that have come to classes in-studio, outdoors, and one-to-one, some only once and others 100’s of times. Being witness to the evolution of the practice and the lives of the practitioners, seeing so many souls leave class lighter, happier and brighter then when they had arrived. Seeing the literal shift that this practice makes in peoples bodies, minds and hearts daily.
I reflect on the relationships that have been formed, yes between myself and students but even more so fellow students, some knowing each other prior to class and some only knowing eachother because of class. I always say true friends don’t let eachother yoga alone. This practice is truly about community and connection. This is our greatest gift to one another.
I reflect on the creation of Yogi Institute being born out of the Flow community and the instructors who have come through the training program. Seeing these beautiful souls change and grow through the training process in ways never expected, deepening their connect to themselves, witnessing them discover confidence in their own voice, expanding their teaching abilities and finding unique way to offer this practice to their own communities. This has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
GROWTH & GRATITUDE:
Seeing studios and communities created by the teachers who have come through training programs like Yoga 4 All Kinds, Sol Yoga in Mineral Wells and many other students offering this practice in their own spaces and communities. The ripple effect of this practice and how it impacts communities near and faris why we do what we do.
The gratitude I feel for the journey I have shared here can not be expressed in words. Yoga has created a space for me to experience the healthiest relationships, lifestyle and community and I am eternally grateful. I truly hope that over the years you have felt seen, loved and welcomed in all spaces where yoga has been offered by myself and the team of Yogi Institute Alumni. Inclusion and accessibility is at the heart of what we teach.
ONE LAST TRAINING:
If you or someone you love has ever wanted to become a 200-hour certified yoga instructor there is one last 10 week hybrid/in-person training being offered from Septemeber until November. This training will be held Sundays from 12-5 pm at Flow Hot Yoga in Granbury. There is an easy to use online training portal that houses the online cirriculm and classes. I have never offered live training for this price, please take advantage if it is calling to you! Please DM me for more information.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD?
Yogi Institute will continue to offer online training programs and yoga classes. It will continue to be under the international Yoga Alliance certification and continued education standards.
Yogi Institute will continue to offer worldwide retreats full of yoga, wellness workshops, imersive cultural experiences and transformation.
Flow Hot Yoga and Yoga 4 All Kinds are making arrangements to cover all of my classes for a continued seamless experience at both studios. I have complete confidence in the teaching abilities and leadership of the instructors and know the community will continue to grow and strengthen through those that will continue to serve.
I am currently in a space of the unknown as I don’t know where my next steps will lead. I have complete trust and faith that my direction will continue to become clear.
