Why Continuing Education Matters
One of the most beautiful things about yoga is that there is always more to discover.
Every specialty you explore shapes not only the way you teach—but the way you practice, listen, communicate, and move through life.
Some students come to learn Yin. Others discover trauma-informed teaching, Ayurveda, chair yoga, sequencing, or Kundalini.
Whatever calls you, each certification becomes another layer of understanding—not just about yoga, but about yourself.
How Every Program Works
Every continuing education program follows the same learning philosophy.
We believe lasting growth happens when you learn, observe, and experience.
That's why every certification combines education, expert perspectives, and embodied practice—helping you integrate what you learn rather than simply collecting hours.
No matter which program you choose, they all follow the same proven framework — the 3 P's. Everything happens inside the Yogi Institute app.
Meet The 3 P’s Of Each Training
-
Learn directly from Yogi Institute. Recorded video lessons walk you through the core material — philosophy, technique, anatomy, and application. Watch on your schedule, pause when you need to, and revisit as often as you want. All lessons live in the app.
-
Learn from the best in the industry. Each program features curated video content from leading yoga professionals and educators who bring real-world depth and diverse perspectives to your training.
-
Get on the mat and embody what you're learning. Each program includes physical yoga classes designed to help you feel the material in your body — not just understand it in your head. Practice classes are available on-demand in the app.
After the 3 P's — Your path to certification:
-
Document your experience and create your Top 10 Takeaway Summary for each program.
-
Share what you've learned by teaching others. Some programs require a recorded teaching evaluation.
-
Submit your takeaway summary, written exam (if required), final project (if required), and teaching evaluation link to Jill.
-
Jill personally reviews your submissions and issues your Yoga Alliance YACEP Certificate of Completion.
Every Teacher Has A Different Next Step
One of the biggest insights from experienced teachers is that continuing education is most valuable when it fills a gap in confidence or helps them serve their students more effectively—not simply because they need hours for renewal.
Some teachers want to better support students recovering from injury. Others want to build confidence teaching meditation. Some want to understand anatomy more deeply. Others are ready to build a sustainable business.
There isn't one right next certification. There's the one that's right for where you are today..
You're Building a Teaching Philosophy. Every training you take shapes the way you hold space. The questions you ask. The confidence you bring into the room. The students you naturally attract.
Continuing education isn't about having more letters after your name. It's about becoming a more thoughtful, adaptable, and authentic teacher.

What Yogi Institute Graduates Are Saying
Not Sure Where to Start?
With 15 programs to choose from, it's normal to feel a little overwhelmed. Here are a few ways to find your perfect fit.
Option 1: Choose by What Excites You
Forget strategy for a second. Which topic makes you lean in?
Which style do you find yourself Googling at midnight?
Start there. When you're genuinely excited about the material, you'll show up with more energy, retain more, and finish faster.
Option 2: Choose by Your Students Needs
Think about the questions your students ask most. Are they dealing with injuries?
Asking about meditation?
Wanting more restorative classes?
The certification that fills a gap in your teaching is the one that will have the biggest immediate impact on your classes — and your reputation.
Option 3: Choose by Time & Budget
Start small and build momentum:
· Got a weekend? → Try a 10-hour program ($25–$55)
· Got a month? → Dive into a 25-hour certification ($155)
· Ready to commit? → Go deep with a 50 or 75-hour certification ($255–$355)
Every program counts toward your Yoga Alliance YACEP continuing education hours.
Option 4: Let Jill Help You Choose
Jill knows every program inside and out — and she knows what's working for teachers at every stage of their career. Tell her where you are, where you want to go, and she'll point you in the right direction.

Note From Jill
One of the greatest gifts yoga has given me is the realization that learning never truly ends.
Every certification I've taken has changed me—not because I collected another credential, but because each one deepened the way I understand myself, my students, and this practice.
That's why continuing education means so much to me.
I don't believe we're meant to stop growing after our first teacher training.
I believe the best teachers remain curious.
Whether you choose one certification or many, my hope is that each one helps you feel more confident, more inspired, and more connected to the teacher you're becoming.
I'd be honoured to continue walking beside you.
— Jill
